Ryan Anderson is a professional basketball player in the NBA. He was born on May 6th, 1988 and raised in Sacramento, California. He played basketball while growing to a 6ft 10 inch body frame. In high school he attended Oak Ridge High School. One of the best basketball high school programs in the nation. In 2005 Anderson help Oak Hill win the Division II California State Championship against Mater Dei High School. He attended California for college where he played basketball for the Bears and emerged as California’s best player. In 2007-2008 he averaged 21.6 points per game, more than Pac-1o first rounds O.J. Mayo, Kevin Love and Brook Lopez. Anderson entered the 2008 Draft and was selected 21st by the New Jersey Nets and made his debut on October 29, 2008 against the Washington Wizards.
College Career Highlights
Anderson attended University of California in Berkeley where he led the team in both scoring and rebounding as a freshman. He was also named MVP of the Great Alaska Shootout and Honorable Mention All-Conference. In his sophomore year, he led the Pac-10 in scoring and became the first sophomore in California history to top the 1,000 point mark. Ryan Anderson 2009-10 Season
In the 2009-2010 season Ryan Anderson played for the Orlando Magic. The Magic starting line-up include: Dwight Howard, Rashard Lewis, Matt Barnes, Vince Carter and Jameer Nelson. They compiled a record of 59-23 and a number 2 seed in the east behind the Cleveland Cavaliers. Anderson played in 63 games and started 6 games during the season. He averaged 7.7 points per game, 3.2 rebounds and shooting .866 percent from the free-throw line. All of this just under 15 minutes a game. The Orlando Magic has advanced to play in the second round of the 2010 playoffs. Ryan Anderson is currently on the roster and looking to continue to help them to return the NBA Finals.
