Directed by Wes Anderson, the 1998 comedy film Rushmore stars Jason Schwartzman as an eccentric and socially outcast prep school student.
Plot Summary
Max Fisher (Schwartzman), an eccentric 15-year old sophomore at Rushmore Academy, excels at extracurricular activities, but due to poor classroom performance is placed on academic probation. Max relates poorly with people his own age and befriends middle-aged businessman Mr. Blume (Bill Murray). When Max and Mr. Blume both fall for Miss Cross (Olivia Williams), a war for her affections is waged between the two former friends.
