Plot
After an assassination attempt on Consul Han (Tzi Ma), James Carter (Chris Tucker)--now a traffic cop--and Lee (Jackie Chan)--now Han's bodyguard--pursue the people responsible, who are believed to be members of the Chinese Triads.During their investigation, the duo learns that they are prime targets for the Triads, as well as Han's daughter, Soo Yung (Zhang Jinchu). They fly to Paris, where they meet with an informant, Geneviève (Noemie Lenoir), who leads them to the Triad. One of its members, Kenji, kidnaps Soo Yung and holds her hostage.
In true Rush Hour fashion, after a climactic fight at the Eiffel Tower, Carter and Lee save Soo Yung and solve the case, dancing back home to Edwin Starr's "War."
Critical Response
Rush Hour 3 was released to generally poor reviews, in which critics got tired of the same Rush Hour formula of action and comedy. Some, like Roger Ebert, thought it was as good as it could possibly be, stating "if you're watching Rush Hour 3, you obviously didn't have anything better to do, anyway."But considering Chan hadn't released a film in the United States in years, and Tucker didn't star in anything after Rush Hour 2, the film was a box office success with over $255 million gross worldwide.
