• RuneScape is a popular online virtual world and fantasy video game. It is one of the most popular massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs) and boasts over 100,000 concurrently playing players. Runescape has a free and members option. Being a members lets you explore everything, do over a hundred more quest and 10+ more skills.

  • Gameplay

    Runescape is atypical of most MMORPGs in that you don't have to choose a class. Rather, you may freely change between the three styles of combat at any time by switching weapons and armor. Players can carry the weapons and armor of the three combat categories in their inventories and switch between or combine the styles. You can also learn various skills such as herblore or even chopping wood. The wood chopping skills are one of the few ways to make money in Runescape. All you need is an axe and a machete. There are also mini-games which you can play and if you survive/win you will receive special items or weapons. The battles are done in all real-time and you can choose to either kill a lot of monsters or do some questing. One of the major components of Runescape is the PvP combat that pits you against different players.

  • Events

    There are also random events that occur in Runescape mostly to keep people from using automated programs (otherwise known as bots). There are also holiday events where if the player successfully completes the required tasks during the event they receive an exclusive reward.
