Rudy Fernandez NBA

Professional basketball player Rudy Fernandez plays for the Portland Trail Blazers in the National Basketball Association. He is also a member of the Spanish national basketball team.

Fernandez was injured during a March 9, 2009, game against the Los Angeles Lakers after taking a hard foul. He was removed from the court on a stretcher and taken to a local hospital. Prior to playing in the NBA, Fernandez played with the Joventut Badalona in the Euroleague, starting in 2001. He led the team to the Spanish King's Cup in 2004 and 2008, earning MVP honors each time.
