Rubin "Hurricane" Carter was a Middleweight boxing contender who received notoriety after being charged with the Lafayette Bar and Grill murders. Almost twenty years after his conviction he was released. His story has been immortalized in both a Bob Dylan song and in a movie starring Denzel Washington.
