RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is a form of XML that allows for easy-to-use yet powerful syndication of web pages, links, dynamic content, and various other elements. It is often used on blogs and news sites that frequently update their content. Site designers or web administrators simply add their content into an RSS feed, and the end-user can see the content by using a feed reader, which can be a program, browser plugin, or web site. New content will appear as it is added, which obviates the need to check the site that publishes the feed or search through it for new content.
