Laugh-In, which took its name from the counter-culture practice of having a "love-in," gave a number of entertainment figures their start. Writer Lorne Michaels went on to help create Second City and Saturday Night Live. Lily Tomlin and Goldie Hawn have had award-winning careers on stage, in film, and on television.
