NHL Career

Olesz was drafted seventh overall in the 2004 NHL Draft by the Florida Panthers. He continued to play in the Czech Republic during the 2004-05 NHL Lockout before joining the Panthers for this NHL debut in 2005. On August 18, 2005, Olesz re-signed with the Panthers to a three year contract.
