Brief Background
Roshan Seth was born in 'New Delhi, India. He attended The Doon School, then St. Stephen's College, and finally London's Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.
His began his career on the stage, and his first big assignment came in Peter Brook's A Midsummer Night's Dream in 1972. He then made attempts at entering into the world of film and achieved some success in this area but decided to take a break for a few years.
He reemerged in a major way in Richard Attenborough's film Gandhi, in which he played Jawaharlal Nehru. After that he began to receive a string of steady acting work, appearing in such films as Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Mississippi Masala.
