Rosemary

Rosemary is a woody perennial, a member of the mint family, and a native to the Mediterranean. It is a hardy plant that tolerates drought and pests, and is therefore easy to grow. The pungent evergreen leaves are used fresh or dried for an array of culinary and medicinal purposes. Rosemary is high in iron, calcium and Vitamin B6.

While rosemary is safe to ingest in small doses, the ingestion of rosemary essential oil or large amounts of rosemary can be known as a health risk, causing allergic reactions or seizures.
