Rosemary Jacobs is a victim of a skin disorder called Argyria, a condition caused by prolonged contact or ingestion of silver, altering skin color to turn a shade of gray-blue. Jacobs was diagnosed with Argyria after a long-term use of nose drops containing colloidal silver caused her skin to change shades. She is now an advocate of raising awareness for taking medications which contain silver.
