Roseanne Barr

Roseanne Barr was one of the first stand-up comedians to have a sitcom loosely based on her life. Many followed her hit Roseanne but few were nearly as successful as the nine year multi-million dollar grossing show.

Her stand up comedy revolves around her life as a struggling housewife and mother. She was one of the few female comedians to perform on The Johnny Carson Show. After her sitcom success Barr went on to have her own talk show, wrote a book, and returned to the stand up circuit performing an extended run at Cesar's Palace in Las Vegas during 2008.
