Rosamund Pike is an English actress. She was born on January 27, 1979 in London, England. Pike's parents, Caroline and Julian Pike, are both musicians. Pike attended Wadham College in Oxford where she majored in English Literature. Pike was discovered by an agent while performing in the production of Romeo and Juliet at the National Youth Theatre.
Pike is romantically linked to director Joe Wright. They were engaged to be married in 2008, but called off the wedding. She was previously involved with actor Simon Woods.

Acting Career
Pike landed a role in A Rather English Marriage in 1998. Since then, she has appeared in Wives and Daughters, The Pursuit of Love, Love in a Cold Climate, and Foyle's War. In 2008, she appeared in the James Bond movie Die Another Day as Miranda Frost.Her more recent works include Bond Girls Are Forever, Promised Land, The Libertine, Pride & Prejudice, Fracture, Fugitive Pieces, Devil You Know, Jackboots on Whitehall. and "Surrogates"
