Career
Rory Gallagher began his career in 1966 in the band Taste. He recorded two studio albums with the band before going solo in 1970.As a solo artist, Gallagher was most prolific in the 70's. He released a total of ten albums during the decade and toured regularly.
He has sold over 30 million albums to date worldwide.
Death
Gallagher suffered from liver damage due to his long-term use of medication prescribed for his fear of flying. In 1995, he developed MRSA after a liver transplant. He never recovered and passed away on June 14, 2005, at the age of 47.-
