  • A root beer float is a dessert made with vanilla ice cream and root beer. When Chocolate syrup is added, it is known as a "Brown Cow" or when Chocolate ice cream is used, it is known as a "Black Cow". Friendly's has a version with sherbet and seltzer called "Slammer".
  • Ingredients

    1. Ice Cream, traditionally vanilla but can be made with any flavor.
    2. Root Beer, but can be made with any variety of colas

  • How to Make A Root Beer Float

    1. Place 2-3 scoops of ice cream into a tall glass.
    2. Carefully pour in root beer to fill glass.
