Rooney is a California-based pop/rock band that have enjoyed a modest amount of success for their British Invasion-flavored brand of modern Rock. While the band formed in 1999, it wasn't until 2000 that the band became signed to Geffen Records and put out their first full-length album. The band's 2003 self-titled debut album sold over 400,000 copies - with help from a cameo appearance on the television show The O.C.. The band's sophomore album, Calling the World, was released in the summer of 2007.
