Ronny Turiaf is a power forward for the NBA's Golden State Warriors.
Early Life
Ronny Turiaf was born in Le Robert, Martinque on January 13, 1983. He would attend the National Institue of Physical Education in Paris. He would play for the French under -18 national team where he would win the championship with fellow NBA stars Boris Diaw and Tony Parker. In 2001, he would attend Gonzaga University where he would play four years with the program.
Pro Career
Turiaf would be selected in the 2005 NBA Draft with the 37th pick by the [[Los Angeles Lakers. During a physical it was discovered that Turiaf would have an enlarged aoritc root which required surgery. He was briefly released by the Lakers as a result, and after his swift recovery re-signed by the team. He is currently a valuable big man off the bench for the Lakers.
