Ronnie Musgrove

  • Ronnie Musgrove is the former Governor of Mississippi and is running for the Senate in Mississippi in the 2008 general election. Musgrove is running against Senator Roger Wicker. Wicker was appointed to the Senate seat by Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour to fill the seat vacated by retiring Senator Trent Lott. Going into Election Day, Musgrove trails Wicker in the polls.
  • Life and Career

    Musgrove was born in 1956 and went on to attend the University of Mississippi for both undergraduate and law school. In 1996, Musgrove became the Lieutenant Governor and in 1999 was elected the Governor of Mississippi. In 2003, Musgrove lost his re-election campaign to Haley Barbour.
