The bodies of Ronald Withrow and John Roy Young have been recovered in Iraq. Withrow was a contractor employed by a computer company, JPI Worldwide. He was kidnapped with his driver and interpreter in January 2007, near the end of his 90 day assignment. The driver and interpreter were found dead the day after the kidnapping, but there was no news about Withrow until March 2008 when it was reported that U. S. officials in Iraq had been sent fingers belonging to five hostages. It is unclear exactly when, or how, Withrow was killed. He was 40 years old.
