Ron Conway is a venture capitalist whose early investments include Google, Paypal and Ask.com (for which he has been dubbed the "Godfather of Silicon Valley"). He was on TechCrunch40's panel of experts in 2007.

Ron Conway was rumored to have lost a good deal of money during the dot-com bubble bust. He was noted for having raised funds from such celebrities as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tiger Woods during that time. However, more recently news surfaced that he had actually made money through his investments. Between 2005 and 2006 he had invested in over one hundred companies including Digg and Buzzlogic.
