Roman Holiday is a 1953 romantic comedy starring Gregory Peck, Audrey Hepburn and Eddie Albert. Hepburn won a Best Actress Academy Award for for her role as Princess Ann in the movie.
Plot Summary
Joe Bradley (Gregory Peck), an American reporter, picks up Ann (Audrey Hepburn) after finding her asleep on a public bench in Rome. Recognizing her as a runaway princess, he offers to let her stay in his apartment. He strikes a deal with his editor (Hartley Power): He will get an exclusive story on the princess to avoid being fired. Together with photographer Irving Radovich (Eddie Albert), Joe escorts Ann (who calls herself Anya Smith) on a sightseeing day around the city while agents from her country search for her.
