Biggest Loser Couples contestant Roger Schultz is a former University of Alabama linebacker, who began the competition weighing in at 363 pounds. He was one of four finalists heading into the season finale on April 15, 2008.
Over the course of the show Schultz shed 144 pounds - more total weight than any other Biggest Loser contestant. Schultz was an associate athletic director at Jacksonville State University when the show began taping, but has since lost his job. University officials said they had no choice but to let Schultz go, because he'd been on leave for such a long period of time.
Schultz, who is a Type 2 diabetic, says he was highly motivated to lose weight to improve his health.
