Roger Clemens Steroids

  • Pitcher Roger Clemens has faced a shroud of controversy since 2007, when revelations that he may have taken performance-enhancing drugs came out in the Baseball Mitchell Report. The report revealed that Brian McNamee, the former trainer for the New York Yankees, provided Clemens with the drugs. Clemens has repeatedly denied the use of any performance-enhancing drugs and has claimed that his notable success in baseball was due to a strong work ethic. On February 13, 2008, Clemens appeared before a Congressional Committee investigating steroid use in baseball and testified under oath that he did not take steroids and that he was only injected with vitamin b-12 and lidocaine, both of which are legal in the game.
