Rodney King

Rodney King is an African-American who was at the center of the controversial police-brutality trial that sparked the 1992 Los Angeles riots. King can was on season two of Celebrity Rehab and The Sober House

Susan Clemmer, an LAPD detective from the Rodney King case committed suicide on July 7, 2009.

King was beaten by four Los Angeles police officers after being stopped for speeding and evading arrest. A video of the incident was used in the trial of the four police officers, who were eventually acquitted.The Oregonian: Rodney King Beating (March 19, 1991)
