One of the major updates of Rock Band 2 is the new drum trainer mode. Instead of just improving"bang on things when you see colors on the screen" skills, Rock Band 2 will actually teach the basics of drumming.Destructoid: You are a Human Drum Machine (August 8, 2008) The drum trainer mode is split into three segments: Beat Trainer, Fill Trainer and Freestyle Mode. These are essentially mini-games that, through practice, teach drumming fundamentals better than playing through the game.
