Rochas was founded by Marcel Rochas as a fashion, fragrance and beauty company in 1924. The signature perfume Femme was introduced in 1944. After his death in 1955, the company concentrated on its fragrance line. The house came back to fashion in 1988 with designer Peter O’Brien. From 2003 onwards, Proctor and Gamble took over the label. Olivier Theyskens was the creative director for Roachas from 2002 to 2006. In 2006 P&G decided to close the Rochas division, but in 2008 they restarted it with Marco Zanini as the creative director. The house will show their spring 2010 collection during the Paris Fashion week on September 30. http://nymag.com/daily/fashion/2008/11/marco_zanini_named_new_designe.html http://boards.style.com/message.jspa?messageID=23047 http://www.articlesbase.com/women's-issues-articles/rochas-designer-apparel-and-fragrances-414279.html
