  • Robinson Tejeda is a right-handed pitcher for the Texas Rangers. A native of the Dominican Republic, Tejada originally signed with the Philadelphia Phillies as an amateur free agent in 1998. After seven years as a pitching prospect in the Phillies minor league farm system, Tejada made his major league debut on May 10, 2005. After a season in the big leagues with the Phillies, Tejada was traded with Hank Blalock to the Rangers, for David Dellucci.
  • Strengths

Tejada has a very good 90+ mph fastball, which he compliments with a change-up and a curve. He responds well to high pressure pitching situations with runners in scoring position[1].
  • Weaknesses

Tejada's curve is inconsistent, and he is not as effective against left-handed hitters[1].
