Robin Williams

Robin Williams is an actor and comedian famous for his hyperactive, fast-paced comedy style and impressions. Robin Williams' style has been called manic, and in interviews and performances he wildly progresses from one idea, character, or impression to the next. Williams first appeared on TV in 1977, on the short-lived Richard Pryor Show. He next appeared as the alien Mork on the ABC sitcom Happy Days. The popularity of the Mork character resulted in a spin-off series about the character, called Mork and Mindy, which ran from 1978 to 1982.

Willams has made numerous guest appearances and recurring appearances on television, most regularly on Saturday Night Live in the 1980s.

On March 5, 2009, it was reported that Williams had been admitted to a Florida hospital for evaluation after experiencing recent bouts of shortness of breath.
