Actor and comedian Robin Williams became an overnight star playing Mork from Ork in the 1970s television sitcom Mork and Mindy. He went on to achieve success in the feature films Good Morning, Vietnam, Dead Poets Society, Mrs. Doubtfire and Good Will Hunting, for which he won an Oscar.
On March 5, 2009, it was reported that Williams was been admitted to a Florida hospital for evaluation after experiencing recent bouts of shortness of breath. Williams' was forced to postpone his Weapons of Self-Destruction in March 2009. Reportedly, Williams' experienced shortness of breath and underwent testing at a Florida hospital. On March 5, 2009, his publicist stated that he would undergo an aortic valve replacement.
