Robin Hardy

British author and filmmaker Robin Hardy gained recognition as the director of the film, The Wicker Man (1973), and has since made intermittent forays into film, including writing and producing Forbidden Sun, in 1989. In March, 2008, Hardy was reported as adapting his 2006 novel, Cowboys for Christ, into a film, taking on the roles of writer and producer. He has called the novel a contemporary "reimagining" of The Wicker Man.
