Robert Scheiring is a former executive for Blue Cross Blue Shield North Dakota who was arrested and charged with child pornography in May of 2009. According to reports, Scheiring, a Canadian citizen, was taken into custody after admitting to federal agents that he had "a lot" of child pornography. Agents searched Scheiring's office, vehicle and home in Fargo, North Dakota, before arresting the 42-year-old father of three, who has resigned from his position as an assistant vice president with the insurance company.GrandForksHerald.com: Former Blue Cross Blue Shield executive charged... Investigation
Robert Scheiring reportedly first caught the attention of federal authorities in September of 2008, when images of a nude "pre-pubescent or nearly pre-pubescent" girl were uploaded to an online bulletin board by someone using the screen name "deelite." Authorities traced the uploads back to Scheiring. According to court documents, when investigators searched Scheiring's computer hard drive, they reportedly discovered more than a dozen photos of "nude or partially nude girls in sexually-explicit poses."Winnipeg Sun: Busted for Kid Porn (May 12, 2009)
