Robert Rodriguez is an American film director and writer who launched his career with the film, El Mariachi.
Early Life
Robert Anthony Rodriguez was born in San Antonio, Texas, where he attended St. Anthony Catholic High School. Upon graduation, he enrolled in the University of Texas where he created the daily comic strip Los Hooligans for the student newspaper. Soon after, he began a career in acting and hit it big with his critically acclaimed film El Mariachi.
