Robert O'Ryan was arrested on March 23, 2009, while allegedly trying to sneak onto the set of Dancing with the Stars. On March 26, 2009, O'Ryan was charged with one felony count of stalking and two misdemeanor counts of "carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle." If convicted, he could face up to four years in state prison. O'Ryan entered a not guilty plea and his bail was set at $220,000. • Radar Online spoke to O'Ryan's Florida neighbors and reported that he was considered to be a loner who fell on hard times after suffering some lingering injuries in a car accident. Larry Robinson, the manager at a RV Park where O'Ryan used to live, told Radar, "He never had any friends or relatives visit him during the one year that he stayed here and then one night he just disappeared without any warning. I was really surprised when I read that he had been arrested for stalking that gymnast in Los Angeles because he was such a quiet guy, almost like a recluse." According to Robinson, O'Ryan's trailer was re-possessed by the bank because O'Ryan failed to meet the payments.
