Robert Menendez is the Democratic Senator from New Jersey. Before becoming the state's Senator, Menendez represented New Jersey's 13th congressional district in the House of Representatives.
Position
After 9/11, Robert Menendez has been nationally recognized in setting up an independent unit to investigate the attacks. He also worked with Hillary Clinton to make it illegal for governments to buy U.S. port operations, which he feels can compromise national security.
