Robert Langdon

Robert Langdon is a fictional character developed by author Dan Brown featured in his two best selling novels, Angels and Demons and The Da Vinci Code. He is the professor of religious iconography and symbology at Harvard University. Robert Langdon is portrayed by Tom Hanks in Angels and Demons and The Da Vinci Code films and video games. Langdon is expected to be featured in Dan Brown's upcoming novel The Lost Symbol.

Harvard professor Robert Langdon discovers the existence of an ancient society called the Illuminati. He sets out to find them and a devastating weapon before The Vatican is destroyed. Langdon is aided in his quest by the daughter of a slain physicist, Vittoria Vetra.

After being accused of a murdering the grandfather of Sophie Neve, Robert Langdon and Sophie join forces to find the killer while evading French police. They must decode the hidden messages with the works of Da Vinci in order to protect the secrets of the Priory of Scion.
