  • Early Years

    Lang began his career playing for the HC Chemopetrol Litvínov in the Czech Republic in 1988. He was drafted 133rd overall in the 1990 NHL draft by the Los Angeles Kings. He made his NHL debut in 1992, playing 11 games with the Kings. That same year Lang represented his native Czech Republic in his first of three appearances in the Winter Olympics, earning a bronze medal. Lang also playing in the 1998 and 2006 Olympics, taking home a gold and bronze medal respectively. Lang stayed with the Kings until 1997, when he signed as a free agent with the Pittsburgh Penguins. A month later he was waived, and picked up by the Boston Bruins. Lang was again waived after a month in Boston, going back to the Penguins.
  • Recent Career

    In 2002, Lang signed as a free agent with the Washington Capitals. He was then traded late in the 2003-04 season to the Detroit Red Wings. He completed that season and played an additional two seasons in Detroit, before entering free agency once again. On July 2, 2007, Lang signed with the Chicago Blackhawks, where he played until 2008, when he was traded to the Montreal Canadiens.
