Robert F. Kennedy was the brother of the 35th United States President John F. Kennedy, as well as his closest political advisor. After running his brother's successful presidential campaign, he was appointed Attorney General. Robert Kennedy was assassinated in Los Angeles during his 1968 bid for the Presidency.
JFK Assassination
The assassination of President Kennedy on November 22, 1963 was a brutal devastation to Robert and the rest of the Kennedy family. Robert was described by many as being a completely different man after his brother's death.
RFK Assassination
Shortly after finishing a victory speech to supporters following his win in the California Democratic primary, Kennedy was shot three times by a gunman in the crowd at around midnight on June 5, 1968, at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Palestinian immigrant Sirhan Sirhan was arrested and charged with the murder.
