  • Robert Enke was a goalkeeper for the German soccer team Hannover 96. On November 10, 2009, Enke died after reportedly committing suicide by throwing himself in front of a train in Neustadt Eilvese, Germany. The 32-year-old Enke's wife says her husband left a suicide note and had struggled privately with depression for many years. Makeshift memorials sprung up outside the Hannover 96 stadium and at the train station where Enke died.http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/11/11/soccer.goalkeeper.suicide/index.html http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601079&sid=aRa5ey5cvZhQ
