  • Career

Rob Liefeld penciled Hawk and Dove for DC and The New Mutants for Marvel before co-founding Image Comics with Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane, and four other comic book artists.

With Image Comics, Liefeld created the Youngblood series, which debuted to mild success. In 1996, Rob Liefeld left Image under controversial circumstances, reportedly spending company money for personal use. Liefeld was also accused of using the company's resources to promote his personal company, Maximum Press (later Awesome Comics).

Liefeld continued to work for Marvel, DC, and Awesome Comics through the early 2000s. In 2007, he returned to Image to relaunch Youngblood, much to the surprise of many fans.
