Roasting Pan

A roasting pan is a large shallow rectangular or oval pan used for Roasting Meat. Roasting pans are used primarily for cooking things in the oven or under a broiler. There are many different types of roasting pans available.

Buying Guide

When looking to buy a roasting pan consider the construction of the pan. Aluminum and copper conduct heat the best but nonstick and stainless steel surfaces are the easiest to clean. Look into getting one that has both classes of materials stainless steel where you put the food and copper or aluminum in the exterior or embedded within the body.

Take a look at the handles. Avoid glued on handles; riveted handles are best. Plastic handles do not hold up well in ovens. Make sure that handles are big enough to hold through a pot holders or an oven mitt.
