RNC 9-11 Video

At the 2008 Republican Convention, a tribute video to 9-11 produced by the Republican National Committee was aired. The video contained repeated images of the World Trade Center and Pentagon being hit by aircraft.

Video Controversy

The video had been titled in advance, "Tribute to the Victims of 9/11," but the resulting footage linked Iran to the 9-11 attacks by insinuating a direct line from the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis to the terrorist act. After the airing of the video on MSNBC, Keith Olbermann apologized for the graphic nature of the footage.
