  • Rita Coolidge is a versatile female R&B, rock, pop, country and folk vocalist. Coolidge began her career as a backing vocalist in the 1960s. Her first recorded song was "Turn around and Love you." Her hit singles include "We're All Alone," "Higher and Higher," "The Way you do The Things You Do," "I'd Rather Leave While I am in Love," and "All Time High."

  • Later Career

    In 1997, Coolidge formed a the group Walela with her sister Priscilla Coolidge, and her niece Laura Satterfield. Coolidge released an anthology of her complete career entitled Delta Lady- The Rita Coolidge Anthology in 2004.
