In Rise Of The Argonauts, weapons are broken into three categories: maces, spears and swords. Maces are the slowest, but do massive damage and can stun enemies to set them up for more attacks. Spears have swift light attacks and can be used in conjuction with a shield as an effective defense. Swords are the most versatile weapon, capable of doing flesh and armor damage, and have the most potential for combos.

Weapon Combos
Jason can string together multiple moves and attacks, using various weapons, to create devastating combos in a system not unlike the combat found in God of War. With light and heavy attacks, shield bashes and on-the-fly weapon switching (similar to Devil May Cry 4), there's a large variety of potential combos in Rise of the Argonauts.Combos should be used with the weapon type's properties in mind. Since maces can break through shields, use a series of mace strikes to stun your enemy, and then switch to spear to add extra damage. Finish off with the sword to add some extra hits. Two light mace attacks can be comboed into a weapon switch easily. Experiment with all three weapon types and Jason's abilities to create the best combos.GameZone: Rise of the Argonauts Q&A
