Rise of the Argonauts Story
Rise of the Argonauts is loosely based on the myth of Jason and the Argonauts and the quest for the Golden Fleece. The player takes control of the Greek king Jason. When Jason's fiancee Alceme is assassinated, Jason takes his revenge on the murderer but is left alone and distraught. Burying his wife where they were to marry, Jason vows to bring her back to life. Hearing tell of a legendary item called the Golden Fleece, which holds the power to resurrect the dead, Jason leaves his kingdom and sets off a journey in his boat, the Argo.He then recruits a team of warriors called the Argonauts, assembling some of the most famous characters in Greek myth: Hercules, Pan, Achilles and Atalanta. Together they journey across the world, visiting islands in Jason's attempt to find the Golden Fleece and bring his wife back from the dead.Official Site: Rise of the Argonauts
