OpenTrace
Described as "sort of a wikipedia of the carbon footprint of everything," Rinen's OpenTrace calculates the environmental impact of various products. Starting on the ground level OpenTrace reports on the energy expended in producing consumer goods, from creating the components through the manufacturing process and transportation of the finished product. These statistics can then be displayed visually, using charts, graphs and diagrams.PCMag: OpenTrace Knows Green Products (September 9, 2008)
