Star Magazine reports in their March 9, 2009, issue that Rihanna suspected that she was pregnant with Brown's child. She was said to have visited an OB-GYN at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles days before the alleged assault took place. Insiders told the magazine that Rihanna feared that she was carrying Brown's baby and that she was afraid "he would react badly" when she told him the news.
