R&B singer Rihanna helped leukemia patient, Lisa Gershowitz Flynn, find a bone marrow donor. Flynn, a 41 year old mother of two, was diagnosed in November 2007 with acute myelogenous leukemia, an aggressive cancer of the bone marrow and blood, and was told she had a four to six week window to find a donor. Rihanna was heartbroken by the story and launched the successful campaign to find the transplant.
