  • The right-to-die controversy refers to the debate over whether people who are for example living with life support or are terminally ill, should be allowed to die. Often, the term refers to if doctor-assisted suicide should be legal for patients who are terminally ill or in a great deal of pain due to illness. An emotionally charged issue, debaters often factors in moral and religious beliefs.
