Plot Summary
After getting pregnant at age 15, Beverly Donofrio (Drew Barrymore) marries the child's father, Ray Hasek (Steve Zahn). Despite the setback, Donofrio is determined to finish school, go to college and pursue her dreams of becoming a writer. However, raising her young son and trying to keep tabs on her drug-addicted deadbeat husband prove more of a challenge than she had originally expected. -
